Do you want to help create safe, sustainable, and functional environments for everyone living, working, and visiting Kristinehamn? Our operations unit for property/leisure is currently seeking a property technician and a team leader. Whether you are the one leading the work forward and supporting the team daily, or you are the one working closely with our properties, you will become an important part of our dedicated team. We look forward to your application!
The property team consists of eight employees, including property technicians, energy technicians, and an operations manager. We manage the municipality's properties and are responsible for strategic planning. We handle service, supervision, and preventive maintenance. One of our employees has moved on within the organization, and another is retiring, which is why we are now looking for two new employees.
The property/leisure unit is part of the public environment department within the technical administration. The technical administration consists of nearly 200 employees and works to ensure that the municipality's traffic environment is safe and accessible, and that children, youth, and the elderly receive nutritious and good food in our school activities and special accommodations. We are responsible for residents' access to clean and fresh water from the tap. We manage the collection of household waste and waste facilities, cleaning for our administrative premises, contract and rental management, and service. We also oversee recreational facilities, parks, and playgrounds.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a property technician, you will have your own area of responsibility where you work closely with our buildings to ensure they function as they should—today and in the future. The role requires you to be self-sufficient, and you will be trusted to solve the challenges that arise in daily operations. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure safe and efficient operation of the municipality's properties.
Examples of job responsibilities will include:
- patrolling
- preventive and corrective maintenance
- fire alarms and sprinklers
- ongoing maintenance and supervision of our properties.
As a team leader for the operations unit, you will lead, plan, and manage daily work alongside the operations manager. You will play an important role in team cohesion and be a support in ongoing work.
Examples of additional job responsibilities include:
- routines and maintenance
- operation and preventive maintenance
- monitoring, following up, and proposing energy-efficient measures.
QUALIFICATIONS
For both positions, we expect you to have the following:
- education focused on property or operations technology, or equivalent experience/knowledge
- good computer skills and experience working with property systems
- experience in plumbing, carpentry, or electrical work
- driver's license (B) for manual vehicles
- BE or B96 driver's license is an advantage.
If you are applying for the team leader position, it is also advantageous if you have previously worked as a team leader in property operations or maintenance.
Regardless of which position you are applying for, we see that you take great personal responsibility in your work and see opportunities in changes by thinking differently and innovatively. You are also a person who takes initiative and achieves results, both independently and in collaboration with others.
Service is a significant part of the job, and you have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others. When stressful situations arise, you maintain your composure and focus on the right things.
In the role of team leader, we also see that you are comfortable leading, motivating, and developing others. It is also important that you have a holistic view, considering the broader perspective for collaboration across our boundaries and the needs of citizens.
With us, you contribute to a learning organization by sharing your knowledge and experiences. We place great value on personal suitability in this recruitment.
